STEADFAST TRAINING GLOSSARY
Definition
A nine-week powerlifting peaking routine covering squat, bench press and deadlift, distinct from the six-week squat cycle. In the published extended version, squat and bench share two sessions with their harder and lighter assignments opposed, while deadlifting occupies a separate session. Repetitions initially build before heavier loads and fewer repetitions lead toward a peak. The commonly circulated Russian name does not establish a verified national-team origin. This demanding routine is not a default beginner or year-round plan. Percentages need a realistic reference maximum; a planned attempt above a previous maximum is a target, not a guaranteed result or mandatory attempt regardless of readiness.
