Your training plan should make room for your health.
Fitness coaching for adults living with Crohn’s or an autoimmune condition who have clinical guidance to exercise. Steadfast helps you build a practical routine around your goals, current abilities, and the limits your healthcare team has set.
Discuss your coaching needs
Your clinical care comes first. Coaching supports exercise planning. It does not treat disease, manage flares, or replace your healthcare team.

A plan built around your circumstances
Crohn’s and autoimmune conditions do not call for one shared exercise prescription. We begin by discussing your goals, current activities, practical needs, and guidance from your treating clinician.
We plan for flexibility, including shorter sessions, an agreed alternative, or rest when appropriate. New or worsening symptoms need clinical guidance. Completing a workout is never more important than following your care plan.
Where coaching can help
Returning to a routineOnce your treating clinician agrees that the planned activity is appropriate, organize a starting routine around your current abilities.
Planning around your dayDiscuss session timing, workload, and the practical demands of work and daily life.
Setting manageable expectationsAgree on a realistic plan and review your experience before changing the workload. No fixed progression or guaranteed symptom outcome.
Getting familiar with exercise againChoose manageable movements and setups, with time to practice and ask questions.
Having options readyDiscuss what to do when the original session no longer fits. A change may mean less work, postponing, or pausing for clinical advice.
Keeping useful notesRecord what you did and what you want to discuss. These observations support communication; they do not diagnose a flare or prove an activity is safe.
Our Role
Flexible Programming
Agree on exercise options and review points within your clinical guidance. Planning includes rest and permission to pause. We do not use a low energy day as a reason to push harder.
Strength Rebuilding
Work toward your strength and movement goals using suitable exercises and a manageable starting routine. Your experience and clinical restrictions guide any changes, rather than a deadline to increase the workload.
Symptom Aware Coaching
Tell us about changes that affect training, including how you feel after sessions. We can review the fitness plan, while medical questions, symptom assessment, and treatment decisions remain with your clinical team.
This coaching is general fitness education and training support. It is not medical care, physical therapy, nutrition therapy, or a replacement for your physician, GI specialist, rheumatologist, dietitian, or healthcare team.

Questions about coaching
Do you treat Crohn’s or autoimmune disease?
No. This is fitness coaching, not disease treatment or flare management. Your GI specialist, rheumatologist, physician, and other treating professionals remain responsible for your medical care.
Can I train during a flare?
This page cannot determine that. Follow your treating clinician’s advice about activity during a flare. We do not use a lighter workout as automatic permission to exercise; coaching may need to pause until your clinical guidance is clear.
What if exercise leaves me feeling worse later?
Tell your treating clinician and your coach about the change. We do not assume that worsening symptoms mean you need more conditioning or a fixed increase in exercise. Further planning must reflect appropriate clinical guidance.
Will everyone with an autoimmune condition follow the same plan?
No. This is a broad service category, not a single exercise program. We consider your individual guidance, goals, restrictions, and current abilities before deciding whether coaching is suitable and what it could involve.
Do you prescribe diets, supplements, or medication changes?
No medication changes or disease specific nutrition treatment are provided through this coaching service. Questions about food tolerance, deficiencies, therapeutic diets, and supplements belong with your treating clinician or appropriately qualified dietitian.
What if I am returning after surgery or a long break?
We can discuss your goals and current clinical guidance. Our Recovery and Return to Training page explains that process. Fitness coaching does not replace surgical follow up, physical therapy, or rehabilitation.
